Concept and Strategy

Modern and traditional come together in this monogram twist. Drawing inspiration from the rich history of artist signatures and letter-making, the traditional monogram takes on a fresh, modern sensibility with clean geometric lines and curves.

The result is a high-end aesthetic blending equal parts style and smart. The S, I, and D of Skowron Interior Design intertwine, nesting the I, to create a unified form reminiscent of a textile weave. Metaphorically, the logo symbolizes support, structure, and balance within the realm of client relations and the creative process.

Logo Variations

With four variations of the logo — type with stamp, type only, primary stamp (circle and monogram), and secondary stamp (monogram only) — the identity champions flexibility. Included in each download package are true black and true white logo files for limited use and restricted printing applications.

Master Brand

The monogram and logotype combination are designed to live in harmony with one another. Whenever possible, this should be the default logo variant in order to increase brand recognition.

Type Only

When necessary, the logotype may be used independent of the monogram. This should be the default variant for horizontal applications.

Primary Stamp

As a design choice, the primary stamp monogram may be used independent of the logotype. It’s recommended Skowron Interior Design (either the logotype or as a typesetting) is used prominently elsewhere to support the monogram.

Secondary Stamp

As an alternate design choice, the monogram may be used independent of the containing circle. The secondary stamp should be used proportionately less than the primary stamp in branding materials.Skow

Logo Violations

Strong brands rely on consistency when it comes to the treatment of their logo. Please refrain from adding, subtracting, or modifying the logo in any way outside of the intended use. The following are examples of incorrect use.

Don't add drop shadows

Don't apply gradients

Don't fill with color

Don't add new elements

Don't rotate the logo

Don't overlay multiple stamps

Don't wrap type on the logo

Don't use colors outside of the brand

Don't stretch or distort

Don't rearrange elements

Don't replace the primary stamp with the secondary

Logo Clear Space

The logo will look its best with ample breathing space, or clear space, around the mark and logotype. The clear space unit is based on the visual square formed by the width of the D and the height of the S within the monogram. Please refer to the diagrams below for clear space guidelines specific to each logo variation.

Palette Inspiration

The brand palette draws inspiration from the raw and refined materials used in interior design and architecture. Modern and minimalist aesthetics are also key influencers in the creation of this palette — paring back to the timeless essentials.
